“Mommy Eats Fried Grasshoppers” at the New Americans Museum – San Diego

Thank you New Americans Museum for having our book there for purchase. Our illustrator @artofnor Nor Sanavongsay is also part of the team that made this exhibit possible.

Between Two Worlds is a traveling exhibit of untold stories of refugees from Laos. It is a project of the Center for Lao Studies with supports from The New Americans Museum, The McConnell Foundation, California Humanities, and the Central Valley Community Foundation.

“The exhibit examines the idea of home and the stages of what home has meant for Lao refugees and multi-ethnic Lao Americans throughout history. It highlights life in four areas: Laos, captivity, refugee camps and America. It will make four more stops throughout California, including Fresno, San Diego, San Francisco and Sacramento.”

The traveling exhibit is on displayed at The New Americans Museum from April 19-July 28, 2019. Bring the family and pay a visit at 2825 Dewey Rd, San Diego, CA. 92106
