There are places you visit and along the way you discover its beauty is in the people . A place where sweet grandmas and aunties cook your meals, where selfless volunteers give their time, where young men and ladies become leaders, and the children’s laughter warms your heart. One such place is at the Multicultural Education Outreach Foundation (MEOF) summer camp in Elgin, Illinois. I was lucky enough to be invited to read and sign “Mommy Eats Fried Grasshoppers” at camp. I will never forget my memorable visit and a big thank you to everyone at the Multicultural Education Outreach Foundation summer camp for their warm welcomes.
